Raquel is a single parent of a young son. She is working towards an associate degree in criminal justice at Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) and has been a part of the Santa Fe LEAP since September 2021.
“Being a part of the LEAP Program for the last year has been such a blessing. Although I am sad it is ending, I am so grateful I was a part of it. The LEAP Program helped me not to work a second job and attend SFCC comfortably. I live with my son alone and let’s be honest, life is so expensive now a days. I have a full time job with The City of Santa Fe and I attend SFCC full time. I am working towards my associates in Criminal Justice. The guaranteed income was just such breath of fresh air to my small family.”
