One third of participants will receive a one-time cash transfer of $6,500 at the beginning of the study with an additional $500 for 11 months, one third will receive 12 monthly cash transfers of $1,000, and one third will not receive a cash transfer and will serve as the control group, receiving a stipend of $50 a month.
